CJ'S Kitchen & Grille

100/10 Stars! This is the place to be. I can’t believe i’ve been here for 3 months and am just now finding out about CJ’s. EDIT: So come here now every chance I get. I don’t think there is a single thing on the menu that isn’t a Home run meal in every conceivable aspect. Just had the Seafood Platter, have never been so delightfully graced with such a tasty platter. 10^120/10 stars.

Okay, The food was perfectly cooked with the right amount of Southern butter. This restaurant serves differently where they seat you and then you get your order taken in order of the people that are being seeded instead of having your own waiter or waitress. That actually extended the time and although the restaurant was full, we felt like we waited quite a while to get our food. Our fault, we came right after Sunday church.

CJ’s Kitchen & Grill has been serving the community since 2001. Nice little place with some downtown, hometown flavors and friendly service. Located on the western edge of Pensacola it’s got plenty of parking and is clean and nicely decorated with small paintings of people. Service is quick, just come on in and have a seat and your service will start. They have a small counter and several tables. Food is ready quickly and it comes out hot and delicious. I’ve had the eggs and grits as well as the gravy biscuits with sausage! All plated up right and tasty too! If you’re out on Barrancas ave it’s about two blocks up Pace on Garden. Friendly little breakfast place. A little bit on the grungy side both inside and out. There was plenty of parking and it was not busy. The cook is right there in the front room, you can watch your food being prepared. The staff is exceedingly friendly and the service is excellent. The eggs are also perfectly cooked to order. Unfortunately the hash browns were absolutely drenched in some kind of butter-flavored oil that left a huge extremely salty pool on the plate. The sausage patties were gritty, dry and inedible. However the coffee was good. I was kind of on the fence between 3 and 4 stars but the service was really good.

5/5 stars Hands down, the best mom-and-pop diner in town! The warm and welcoming atmosphere is unmatched, with a beautiful display of diverse art and a kids-friendly vibe. The menu options are vast and varied, catering to all tastes. We can't wait to go back! Highly recommend! Great staff very friendly service

This was very much a “locals” spot. We were given a recommendation to eat here by a local and it was well worth it! Good food, good service, happy staff, unique interior with a bunch of locals faces painted on the walls.
